Kumari – The Living Goddess

Living Goddess Kumari- Triahna Shakya 4 years old. She was selected and on the throne since October 2017.

We, as Nepali, worship young pre-pubescent girls as manifestations of the divine female energy or devi in Hindu religious traditions.

A Kumari is believed to be the incarnation of goddess Taleju. When her first menstruation begins, it is believed that the goddess vacates her body. Serious illness or a significant loss of blood from an injury also causes for loss of deity.
The company logo of Travel House Nepal is also influenced by the Kumari as a blessing.
